Run For Jack New Year's 5k

Run for Jack New Year’s 5K is a charity 5K event whose mission is to raise awareness and support for those with arthrogryposis. John Michael Cavanaugh aka “Jack” was born on December 31, 2013. He was born at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and was diagnosed with a rare condition called Amyoplasia, a type of arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (or AMC). Jack has joint contractures in all four of his limbs causing him very limited range of motion. Last year Jack had surgery to correct his hips. After a long recovery he began to stand for the first time. Jack can now take steps with his walker and is working hard every day to reach his ultimate goal of walking! Cost: $25. There is also a 1 mile walk and a Kids 50 yard dash. Awards will be given out to the Top 3 Male, Top 3 Female, and Age Group Winners.
