When Student Ambassador Supervisor Elizabeth Jung told the Ambassadors about her cousin First Lt. Christel Sacco who was stationed in Kuwait and how the packages that she received were such a blessing to her and her battalion, our students knew they found their service project.
The students, with some help from the Admissions Office, collected enough supplies to ship three care packages to a United States Army troop stationed in Kuwait. The troop is from Texas and has been overseas for just over a year. Jung remarked, “It was great to see our students getting involved in something that benefits the community that works to protect us.”
This act of service is #16 in the Centennial 100 Acts of Service initiative. To learn more about this noble cause and find out how you too can get involved, visit harcum.edu/100service. Read about all the service projects completed this year at harcum.edu/100projects.
