Watch "Groundhog Day," Drink Groundhog Beer On Groundhog Day At Bryn Mawr Film Institute
Price of admission includes a "Groundhog Altbier" from Straub beer.
As we here in Pennsylvania gear up to see what Punxsutawney Phil tells us about winter on Thursday (Groundhog Day), the Bryn Mawr Film Institute is celebrating the quirky holiday by showing the Bill Murray comedy classic "Groundhog Day" and serving a groundhog beer brewed in Pennsylvania.
The film institute will show "Groundhog Day" at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2.
"Groundhog Day" tells the story of a weather man (Murray) who relives Groundhog Day over and over and over and over with hilarious results.

Courtesy of The Grog Grill, attendees will be treated to a "Groundhog Altbier" from Stroub beer.
A winter seasonal beer, Groundhog Altbier is a German-style Altbier with "a pronounced malt flavor, brewed with imported German hops for a firm, bitter edge, and fermented with authentic German ale yeast," according to the brewing company. "Alt" is German for "old" and "bier" – obviously – is German for beer, so "altbier" is just a fancy way of saying the brew is made in the old German style.

The Bryn Mawr Film Institute is located at 824 W. Lancaster Ave., Bryn Mawr.
