We would like to thank you for your patience during the WBOD tree planting and parking lot resurfacing project. The results are evident; the parking lots have been paved, and approximately 75% of the trees have been planted. What a difference these improvements have made just in time for the holiday rush!
We are near the goal line and have one more major task to complete; the painting of the parking stall lines and numbers. The big push for this task will be this afternoon, through Thursday night, and into Friday, non-stop. All the newly paved parking lots will be posted and blocked off at varying times; at no times will all lots be closed simultaneously. After this work is completed, the only items remaining will be to plant the outstanding trees and install brickwork by the tree wells where the contract specified (this will be done from the sidewalk, no parking lot closures needed).

Following is the “no parking” schedule during the parking space striping:
- Lancaster (west)/S. Wayne/W. Wayne/West – Thursday, October 17, 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- N. Wayne – Thursday, October 17, 10:00 PM – Friday, October 18, 10:00 AM
- Lancaster (east) – Thursday, October 17, 5:30 PM – Friday, October 18, 1:30 AM
The “no parking” signs and cones will be removed as the painter completes each area.
Please note, when the striping is complete, the Radnor Township Parking Authority will remove the “free parking” notices from the kiosks.
Looking ahead:
- There will be some parking restrictions in order to plant the remaining trees.
- While it should not effect parking itself, Radnor Township Public Works will follow with the signage installation, including that for handicap parking and that for “15 minute” parking in designated spaces.
- Radnor Township Public Works will also install new curb stops on West Avenue and other areas if needed.
- Also, while it should not effect parking, the contractor will repair the brickwork and concrete around the tree pits. Date TBD.
Please note all work is weather dependent.
