College Student Dies After Being Hit By SEPTA Train In Bryn Mawr

After being struck by a Norristown High Speed Line train Tuesday night in Bryn Mawr, a woman attending a local college died

BRYN MAWR, PA — A local college student died after being struck by a Norristown High Speed Line train in the Bryn Mawr area Tuesday night, according to SEPTA officials and Radnor Township Police.

The woman, whose identity has yet to be released, died after being struck by a train near the Roberts Road Station at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Philly.com reports the woman is in her 20s.

Police said the death is being considered accidental, however a formal report from the medical examiner's office is pending.

Crews remained on the scene until about 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to police.

The woman was struck at about the same time a man was struck and killed by a Media-Elwyn Regional Rail train near the Angora Station in Southwest Philadelphia Tuesday night.

Radnor Police urge the public to never go on rail road tracks no matter what.
