• Washington Italian Festival to honor Italian American veterans (observer-reporter.com) — A Washington Italian Festival ceremony will honor Italian American veterans and active-duty service members, including stories of local families' service from World War I through today. Canonsburg is represented through factory worker Belle Congelio Angelone, a "Rosie the Riveter" whose wartime efforts are highlighted among many Washington County veterans' experiences and multigenerational military service.
