Big Macs volleyball boys topple Seton LaSalle
The team recorded its third victory of the season Monday night.
The Canon-McMillan boys volleyball team rallied in the final game against the Seton LaSalle Rebels on Monday, winning 3-2 to pick up its third victory of the season. Quarry Trest had 16 kills, while Jace MacDonald added 14 more, and the Big Macs eked it out in the end—26-28, 25-23, 25-21, 22-25 and 15-11.
Rob Hall and Cody Patterson chipped in with seven kills each for Canon-McMillan (3-3, 1-3), while Big Macs Tony Bevec and Brian Mezerski finished with 15 assists each.
The Canon-McMillan junior varsity boys also pulled out a win over the Rebels on Monday, 22-25, 25-21 and 15-9. Steve Strosko had six kills for the Big Mac junior varsity team, while teammates Andy Miller (seven assists), Tony Bevec (three aces), Steve Strosko (three aces) and John Birch (two aces) also contributed.

Both Big Macs teams will be back in action tonight, as Canon-McMillan plays host to Central Catholic. The JV team will begin at 6 p.m., with the varsity match to follow.
