Blotter: Borough Man Charged with Assault, Harassment

Canonsburg police are also investigating a theft from a home and a theft from a local business.

charged a borough man with simple assault and harassment Saturday following an altercation in his Grant Avenue home.

Police said James Murray was video arraigned before district Judge Ethan Ward and released Saturday on $25,000 unsecured bond. He is scheduled to appear before district at 9:15 a.m. March 21 for his preliminary hearing.

Christina Louise Louk, of 411 Spruce St., told police on Sunday that someone stole two video game consoles, nine games and a laptop computer from her home. Canonsburg police are investigating.

Theft from store reported

A representative from the Cricket store on West Pike Street told Canonsburg police Friday afternoon that a thin, light-skinned black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and tight jeans had stolen from the establishment.

When police arrived, the suspect was gone.

But the employee told officers “the same individual stole from the establishment numerous times.”

Police are investigating.
