Blotter: No Injuries Reported in Car Fire
Cecil police are also investigating criminal mischief to a car.

said no one was injured in a car fire that happened near the Post Office in Muse Monday morning.
Police said Janie Peyatt, of Cecil, was driving her white Ford Focus south on Muse-Bishop Road when she noticed smoke and flames emanating from the engine of her vehicle.
She was able to pull off into the parking lot of Commerce Square, where volunteers from the Cecil and Muse volunteer fire departments quickly extinguished the flames.

The car was then towed, with no additional property damage reported.

Jeffrey Holbrook, of 432 Georgetown Road, told Cecil Township police Saturday morning that someone keyed the passenger side of his vehicle, damaging it.
He told police that the vandalism likely happened between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 12:45 p.m. Friday while the car was parked behind his apartment building.
