Borough Police Assist Another Heroin Investigation
U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton lauded the department for its help in the case.

A Pittsburgh man was sentenced to 60 months in prison—the result of a federal narcotics trafficking investigation that was aided by the police and other departments.
U.S. Attorney David J. Hickton announced the sentence handed down Wednesday to Kalan Jones, 29, by U.S. District Judge Arthur J. Schwab.
Jones' prison term will be followed by four years of supervised release.

From January 2010 to March 3, 2011, Jones conspired to distribute and possess with intent to distribute at least 100 grams of heroin, Hickton said in a release.
In addition to Canonsburg police, he commended the FBI, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Pittsburgh Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Allegheny County Sheriff's Office, the Ross Township Police Department, and the Allegheny County Police Department for the successful investigation.
