Yet again, Alice fights alongside a resistance movement in the continuing battle against the Umbrella Corporation and the undead. So, if we go with the typical “How many stars would you rate this movie?” for the new "Resident Evil: Retribution," I would have to go with three and half.
I remember this series of video games when I first started playing them on my original Playstation. I was a huge fan of the video games so I had to see the movies. "Resident Evil: Retribution" turns out decent, but still doesn’t quite settle well with me.
What were some of the pros you ask? I felt like I was actually a part of the video game. Alice, played by Milla Jovovich, continues to employ some definite hard core action in her fighting skills. I regretfully did not see this movie in 3D because after seeing it, I can see where some parts of the movie would have had 3D employed and truly believe it would have worked tremendously. With that being said, if you are into a movie that is full of action and is very fast paced, you get your money's worth. Not only does show Jovovich show her action-paced fury but she also shows a sensitive side when she takes care of her daughter. Also, what’s a Resident Evil movie without flesh-eating zombies, right? Gore galore, if you’re into that kind of thing!

This movie did seem to have some broken plot issues that could explain why some parts of the dialogue were kind of missing. Also, Claire had spent all of Afterlife suffering from memory loss due to her becoming brainwashed. Jill gets the thing pulled off her chest and two minutes later knows who Alice is and has no outward affects from the brainwashing. That may not seem like a con—but something I noticed that seemed a bit off.
Overall, I do think the movie went over well. If you are looking for an action-packed movie filled with a zombie apocalypse; this will sure to please.
