With emotion on his face, Keystone State Wrestling Alliance original “Mr. Tenacity Tommy Faime” once again stood in the middle of the ring and hoisted his Hall of Fame certificate in the air. “Faime,” the professional wrestling persona of Canonsburg’s Tom Dobbin, was inducted into the KSWA Hall of Fame in front of a capacity crowd in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh Saturday night.

“I want to thank everyone who was involved in arranging this honor,” said Dobbin, who was accompanied to the KSWA Arena by his wife Amy and children Christopher, Dario and Jordan. “I loved to entertain.”

Dobbin started with the KSWA in 2000, had his last match for the promotion in 2008.

Dobbin, who works as a General Manager for King’s Family Restaurant, held the KSWA’s Heavyweight title for an impressive 511 days in the early days of the organization’s existence. He also was co-holder of the KSWA Tag Team Championship on two separate occasions. Later in his career when he was injured, “Faime” was a match-making Commissioner.

Leading up to the event, Dobbin met with old friends who are still with Pittsburgh’s wrestling promotion, and met new young athletes like “The Ice Man” Tony Johnson and Jay Flash, who formed a tag team that won the night’s big prize, the “Joe Abby Memorial Tournament.”

More than 330 wrestling fans attended the event. Earlier in the week, legendary wrestler George “The Animal” Steele was also inducted into the KSWA Hall of Fame in a ceremony following his appearance at the Horror Realm convention at the Crowne Plaza South hotel.
