Celtic Thunder isn’t your typical Irish group performing the traditional favorites like “Danny Boy” and “Maid of Culmore” but also include some very modern and contemporary hits like “Friends in Low Places.” The possibilities are endless with their amazing voices.

Celtic Thunder has been making waves in the music industry across the world for many years with iconic performances around the globe, including opening the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City and performing for the Obamas at the White House.
As with many groups, Celtic Thunder is not without their shares of ups and downs —including several members leaving over the years. In 2010, Paul Byrom resigned from the group in pursuit of a very successful solo career. In 2011, the Damian McGinty announced his departure from the group to accept a role on the hit Fox Show, “Glee” where fans just might recognize him during the last season as Rory Flanagan.
Although the most recent news for Celtic Thunder came just a few weeks ago with an announcement that Danny Furlong, the incredibly talented on-again, off-again tour mate, would not be joining the group in Pittsburgh.
Of course, like many group artists—the dream of a solo career is always a thought and for Harkin, it’s a realization in his near future with the release of his first self-titled solo album on September 18. A stunning collection of songs, this album is a must-have for any Celtic Thunder fans.
“I’ve been working on my solo album since I was 17,” said Keith. “It’s been nine years in the making. Being part of Celtic Thunder has helped me further my own career.”
