Come to the Library for Aliens and More

Your friendly local library has a variety of programs scheduled to entertain, instruct and inform

Don't fret...your wait is over! At long last, here is the list of programs coming to the Frank Sarris Public Library during the final part of March.

  • Mondays beginning March 18 - Build a (Model) Civil War Battle
    Over eight weeks (come to one week or come to them all), we will build a scale model of a Civil War Battle complete with plastic soldiers, wagons, and cannons. Materials provided. This program is for high school students (3:15 to 4:15).
  • Monday, March 18 - Aliens!
    Monday afternoons are a time to play and discover something new at the library! This week, we'll be investigating aliens. The 4:30-5:30 session is for students in grades K-2 and those in grades 3-5 are invited from 6:30-7:30.
  • Mondays, beginning March 18 - Intro to Art (6-7:30)
    Learn to draw and paint with watercolors. Adults, 11th and 12th graders of all ability levels are welcome. Materials are provided, pre-registration is required. One-time fee of $5.
  • Wednesday, March 20 at 7:00pm - Friends of the Library meeting
    Please join us for the Friends of the Library's regular monthly meeting...New members are always welcome! If you would like to join, forms are available at the first floor circulation desk.
  • Thursday, March 21 at 6:30 - Family Night
    Family Nights are a Story-Time for all ages from toddler to adult featuring stories, crafts, and games! This week, we'll be celebrating Fred Rogers' birthday.
  • Saturdays, beginning March 23 at 11am - Dancing to the Oldies
    If you want to get into shape, but even the thought of Zumba is too much for you, join us to dance in a private room as we encourage each other into fitness! For women only, of all ages. One-time fee of $5.
  • Monday, March 25 - Weather Station
    Monday afternoons are a time to play and discover something new at the library! This week, we're learning a bit about the weather. The 4:30-5:30 session is for students in grades K-2 and those in grades 3-5 are invited from 6:30-7:30.
  • Thursday, March 28 at 6:30 - Family Night
    Family Nights are a Story-Time for all ages from toddler to adult! Each week, there will be stories, crafts, and games. Tonight, we'll be asking you to unplug!
  • Crafters of all skill levels are invited bring their knitting, needlework, sewing, or other stitchery project and join the Frayed Knots for tea and conversation as we complete our projects together.  Wednesdays at 6:30
  • Story Time continues.  If you haven't already done so, please be sure to call or stop in to register for one of the many sessions being offered.
