First World Problems Turn Into Life Long Lessons

Musing of the day, potential first world problems

The other morning I was at Quest Diagnostics in McMurray getting drug tested for an upcoming job position. I had to give them my State ID since I do not have my license yet. I leave, everything went fine. The next morning, I went to pick up my paycheck at my current job in Washington. Found out it was direct deposited (I should have checked before!) I went to pick up a couple groceries and realized my I.D. was missing!

That's actually really terrifying, I do have my old one but it was my I.D. for when I was younger than 21 but older than 18 (I am 23 now). As I'm trying to walk down to Rt. 19 to get over to PennDot, I suddenly realized Quest never gave it back to me. I called them and they still had it.

As always, I have a gazillion things going on through my head—story ideas, friends and family problems, when will I start my next job, the list probably could go on and on. But, in that moment nothing else mattered. Having your drivers license or State I.D. is kind of your lifeline. Funny how life works isn't it?
