Hurry! Hurry! Step Right Up!

Be the first one on your block to sign up for one of these upcoming programs at the Sarris Library!

Once again, your friendly neighborhood library is going to be offering a chance for you to come in out of the cold and try something new!  A mixture of one-time events and longer-running programs are scheduled to begin soon at the Frank Sarris Public Library, and we thought you should know.  Here are some of the things coming up in the next week or two...

  • Thursday, February 7 at 6:30pm - Mystery Book Club
Join us in the Computer Lab for a discussion of February's selection, Mary Ann Shaffer's “The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society”
  • Monday, February 11 - Story Time Resumes. If you haven't already done so, please be sure to call or stop in to register for one of the many sessions being offered
  • Monday, February 11 - Mardi Gras
Monday afternoons are a time to play and discover something new and this week we celebrate Mardi Gras, New Orleans-style, with crafts, music, and King Cake! The 4:30-5:30 session is for students in grades K-2; those in grades 3-5 are invited from 6:30-7:30 and no advance registration is necessary
  • Thursday, February 14 at 6:30 - Family Night
Family Nights are a Story-Time for ALL AGES (toddler to adult) with no pre-registration needed! Each week, there will be stories, crafts, and games and tonight's theme is, naturally enough, SWEETHEARTS
  • Friday, February 15 - Rave! (7-11 p.m.)
Are you in High School? Do you like neon? Then come for food, fun and music at our first ever after-hours party! Tickets cost $3.00 before February 15th or $5.00 at the door
  • Monday, February 18 - Lego Party
This Monday afternoon, we're breaking out the buckets of Lego bricks and we hope that you'll come and collaborate on some great construction! You needn't sign up for either the 4:30-5:30 session (students in grades K-2) or the 6:30-7:30 one (for those in grades 3-5)
  • Monday, February 18 (6-7:30) - Crop Scrapbooking
Bring your pictures to the library and make the special times in your life unforgettable! Not only are the supplies provided for just $2, but we also have a die cut machine and a texture machine for your use. Registration is requested and adults, 11th and 12th graders are welcome

Don't forget to check the library's website for more program information!
