Today's hit is, "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls! Some of you may not know that this song was played in the movie City of Angels starting Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage, I believe the song was actually written for the movie.

In the movie, Nicolas plays an angel that falls in love with a human woman and at first, she can't even see him because he is an angel. Eventually she is able to see him because he really wanted her to be able to see him. But, he still couldn't touch her if he tried- he hand would just go right through her and neither of them would feel anything. As far as the song goes, I believe it's sort of divided into parts. The first verse (And I'd give up forever-And I don't want to) really seems to sum up how love can potentially and should be when you find that one person. When you want to be with that person and nothing else matters because it's so perfect and you cherish each and every moment together. A lot of the song deals with how fragile love can be too. How there's always a fear trembling in the back of your mind, is this love real? Will it last?
