The Buzzing ShelfLight

I've learned something from writing this blog. 

In past "ShelfLight" posts, we've put something geeky, quirky or fun on a shelf and beamed a light on it. Mostly those things have been my fan-girl favorite books and movies. 

I've learned that I like to review things. I've always loved a good fan girl rant, and the artist/writer in me has learned the value of thoughtful, constructive critique (but I still have zero tolerance for spam and blog trolls, just so you know). 

A friend told me about "Bzz Agent" which is a word-of-mouth promotional program. She's a food blogger, and likes to review things too.

The deal is that they send me free stuff and coupons, and I tell you about them. Kind of like a you-know-who's list only for stuff instead of home services. Sounds like fun to me. Free stuff AND free blog ideas. Talk about a twofer!

Of course, I'll always tell you up front when I'm reviewing free stuff from the Bzz Agent folks. For the down side,  the free samples is all I get - no compensation at all otherwise. (How DO book,food and movie critics get a gig like that?)

So in advance: thanks for letting me opine at you about the upcoming stuff. When ever you see a "Buzzing ShelfLight" post you'll know what it is all about.
