Who knew that Adam Sandler had it in him to do a vampire voice, right!?
At some point in every father's life, he wants to help keep his daughter well protected from the world. In Hotel Transylvania, Dracula (voice by Adam Sandler) does his best to keep his teen daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez), from stepping out into the real world or, horrors, falling in love with a human.
Similar to how in "Brave," the mother and her teen daughter argue about who the latter will marry. For that, the storyline gets kind of predictable. However, by any means do I count this as a huge deal because the storyline can't get too complicated since it's an animated children's feature.

I give it a 9/10.
Count Dracula hosts all the legendary monsters at his hotel to celebrate his daughter's birthday while he works to keep his daughter from falling for a human, who is hiking in Transylvania and stumbles upon the hotel. In time, Mavis feels a 'zing' (love) for the human and Count Dracula tries to keep them apart. The story was interesting in how humans were viewed from the point of view of the monsters, as not just the enemy but as fearsome.

The voices in this movie were hilarious and really spot on. It has really great visuals as well. A lot of people seem to look into how much depth an animation movie goes into but that's not exactly the most realistic expectation. Animations are meant to be fun and Hotel Transylvania did just that!
