Business Spotlight: Washington Financial Announces New Chairwoman
The appointment marks the first time in Washington Financial's 113-year history that the board leadership position will be held by a woman.

Washington Financial recently announced the election of Mary Lyn Drewitz as chairwoman of its board of directors, as well as two additions to its senior officersβHarry Stiffler, Jr. and Robert Vettorel.Β
Drewitzβs appointment marks the first time in Washington Financialβs 113-year history that the board leadership position will be held by a woman.Β
Drewitz is currently a partner in the law firm Goldfarb, Posner, Beck, DeHaven & Drewitz and has been a director of the bankβs board for the past 17 years.Β

The bank welcomes Stiffler as senior vice president and general counsel. As general counsel, Stiffler will provide legal counsel to, and represent the bank on a range of topics. Most recently, he practiced at Goldfarb, Posner, Beck, DeHaven and Drewitz in Washington.Β
Vettorel was promoted to senior vice president/wealth management division manager. In his new role, Vettorel will oversee the wealth management division and work with businesses and individuals to help them achieve their financial goals. Vettorel has more than 17 years of experience and specializes in business retirement and cash management accounts.
