C-M Hires Coaches, Teacher; Permits Installment Payments for Real Estate Taxes

Here’s what happened:

  • The board gave Substitute Superintendent Michael Daniels a one-time bonus of $25,000 in recognition of his work in that capacity.
  • The board approved a resolution that will allow residents the option of paying their real estate taxes in installments.
  • Directors also hired Peacock Keller & Ecker—with Susan Key serving as the primary attorney—to serve as special counsel on tax-assessment and real estate matters.
  • School directors also accepted the resignations of Kimberly Greenleaf from her position as a sixth-grade teacher at Cecil Intermediate School, of Jonathan Miller from his position as an English teacher at , and of Jamie Gilbert from her position as a physical education/health teacher at Canonsburg Middle School. The board also accepted the resignation of Susan Humbertson from her position as high school newspaper sponsor. Retiring is John Hopkins, who had been a bus driver for the district for 25 years.
  • The board also hired Makenzie Black as a reading support teacher at for the 2012-13 year.
  • Directors also approved the following people for extra-curricular positions:
  1. Sheila Mitchell, ninth-grade girls volleyball coach (retroactive to January). She will be paid $2,925 next year.
  2. Joe Gross, junior varsity golf. He will be paid $1,993 next year.
  3. Diane Dolanch, middle school cheerleading sponsor. She will be paid $1,663 next year.
  4. Robin Orosz, high school assistant cheerleading sponsor. She will be paid $2,116 next year.
  5. Troy Grunseth, varsity first assistant football coach (he had previously been the varsity assistant coach). He will be paid $6,217 next year.
  6. Eric Rosing, varsity assistant football coach. He will be paid $5,327 next year.
  7. Jason Kekseo, ninth-grade head football coach. He will be paid $4,005 next year.
  8. Dennis Cole, ninth-grade assistant football coach. He will be paid $3,021 next year.
  9. Mike Miller, ninth-grade assistant football coach. He will be paid $3,021 next year.
  10. Malcom Meredith, seventh-grade football coach. He will be paid $3,021 next year.
  11. Brian Smith, seventh-grade football coach. He will be paid $3,021 next year.
  • School directors also approved a $10,000 extra-duty stipend for Jacky Hardinman for the 2012-13 school year for coordinating the Federal Title Program.
  • An unpaid leave of absence for middle school teacher Marcie Killmeyer was approved for the first semester of the 2012-13 school year.
