Canon-Mac Readies for WPIAL Title Game Thursday
The girls softball team defeated Shaler in the semi-finals yesterday and will move on to the title game against Hempfield at California University of PA.
Canon-McMillan knocked off top-seeded Shaler, 4-3, Thursday at Fairhaven Park's Lind Field to become the first Canon-Mac softball team to advance to the WPIAL championship and clinch its first berth in the PIAA playoffs.
According to the Observer-Reporter, the fifth-seeded Big Macs (15-5) will play second-seeded Hempfield on Thursday at 7 p.m. at California University.
