Canon-McMillan Area Braces for Winter Storm

Local municipal leaders say they are ready for the storm.

The Canon-McMillan area is under a winter weather warning, with the National Weather Service calling for up to 8 inches of snow into early Wednesday. But local municipal officials say they are ready for the white stuff.

"We are prepared," Canonsburg Manager Terry Hazlett said Tuesday afternoon.

He said that public works employees are on call for tonight's storm (with several backups confirmed, if needed), and that there is plenty of salt available to the combat the inclement weather.
