Firefighters Battled Blaze in Canonsburg
Assistant Chief Tim Solobay said the fire was caused by an electrical short.

The intersection of Pike Street and Oak Spring Road in  has reopened after firefighters cleaned up the scene of a blaze at a building that was under renovation.
Canonsburg Assistant Fire Chief Tim Solobay said the building owned by Weavertown Environmental located in the 500 block of Pike Street caught fire, and the department was summoned to the scene around 3:45 a.m.
It took about an hour to get the blaze under control. Solobay said it was caused by an electrical short. No damage estimate was immediately available.
