Five Things You Need To Know This Week

We have a busy week ahead! Here's what you need to know:

1. Canonsburg Council will hold its voting meeting at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, in the borough building. Council is expected to vote on whether or not to take out a line of credit to cover the costs of the borough building renovation until reimbursements from grants are received. The meeting is open to the public.

3. North Strabane's board of supervisors will hold public meetings on several developments that have been proposed in the township at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the municipal building. .

4. The first inductees into America's Pop Hall of Fame, which will be located in Canonsburg, will be revealed by 1960s music icon Johnny Tillotson at 5 p.m. Friday at the McDonalds in the borough. Nominees included The Beatles, Frank Sinatra and more.

5. Remember that the Canon-McMillan School District is continuing online kindergarten registration through March 31 for the 2013-2014 school year. Contact your child's school to request a secure ID code in order to access the registration. If you do not have a computer or need more information, contact your child's school for assistance.
