
Josephine Severyn Seward, 91, of , died Sunday, May 27, at her home.
She was born March 19, 1921 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Anthony and Louise Mikulec Severyn.
Josephine was a member of and the former St. Genevieve Church, where she was one of the "Pierogi Ladies."

She is survived by a son, Blake Robert Seward of Evans, GA; three daughters, Cheryl Watsek and husband Greg of Las Vegas, NV, Patricia Svitek and husband Kenneth of Thornton and Marian Seward of Broken Arrow, OK; three brothers, Stan Severyn of South Bend, IN, Chet Severyn of Dayton, OH, and Walter Severyn of Pittsburgh; three sisters, Flo DuCharme of Akron, OH, Virginia Mack of Canonsburg and Louise Cimino of Houston; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Ltd., 30 East College St., Canonsburg. Departing prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Blakesly Seward, who died on Oct. 29, 2007; four brothers, Hank, Ted, Fred and Tony Severyn; and a sister, Jean Piechnick.
