Miss Penny's Diner? Then Visit Center Plate!
Lenny Radziewicz and Penny Folino's new restaurant is now open for business at 94 Center Church Road.
Since Pennyβs Diner closed its doors, manager Penny Folino said she has been inundated with emails from customers asking when sheβd be bringing her culinary expertise back to the McMurray area.
They missed the diner atmosphere, Folino said.
The wait is now over for those customers because Folino and her boyfriend, Lenny Radziewicz, have opened a new restaurant called Center Plateβlocated at 94 Center Church Rd.

The eatery has been open for just six days, but Folino said it has debuted to βrave reviews.β
Radziewicz owns the establishment and Folino is the managerβand brings her years of cooking skills to the spot, which she describes as a βcafΓ© bistro, Greek-style restaurant.β

Open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6:30 a.m. to 9p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Folino said customers will find some of their favorites from Pennyβs Diner on the menuβand she stressed that all the food is βmade from scratch.β
Diners can enjoy American breakfasts, burgers, sandwiches such as the classic Reuben, as well as some Greek specialties.
Situated in an old house remodeled to be a restaurant, Folino said diners can choose to sit in one of three areas, each with its own theme.
One has a cafΓ©-bistro look with booths, the second has a retro diner feel and the third emulates a cafΓ© experience with tables.
And while Center Plate awaits the transfer of a liquor license to the new establishment, it is now BYOBβor bring your own beer.
