News of Note: Canon-McMillan School District

Here's a recap of what happened at this week's school board meeting.

Did you miss Monday's Canon-McMillan School Board meeting? No worries. Here's some of what you missed:

The Board discussed a donation of $30 for books for the Muse Elementary library in memory of Inez Pomi. The donation was made by Tom and Marisa Vanzin.
The district discussed a $200 donation for books for the high school library in memory of Marissa Boyan. The donation was made by the Marissa Boyan Scholarship Fund.
Directors discussed a donation of $60 for books for the high school library in memory of Joseph Gowern. The donation was made by the high school staff.
The board discussed a bonus to be paid to tax collector Rob Maceiko for $5,000.

The board's next meeting will be held in the district administration building at 7 p.m. Monday. It is open to the public.
