Obituary: Blanche Kuc

Blanche Kuc, 88, of Canonsburg, formerly of the family home on Cecil Henderson Home, Cecil Township, died Friday, June 8, 2012 in Washington Hospital.

She was born Sept. 3, 1923 in Canonsburg, a daughter of John and Anna Lubecki Kuc.

Blanche was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Polish National Catholic Church. She graduated from Cecil High School in 1941 and was a member of Cyclops Retiree Group. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and her pets.

Prior to retirement, she worked in accounting for Universal Cyclops, Bridgeville.

Surviving are one sister, Helen Bushko of Canonsburg; two nieces, Barb Poloski (and husband Joseph), and Rose Cwiklinski and (husband Anthony), two nephews, Walter Bushko (and wife Stephanie) and Frank Klinger (and wife Jeanne).

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Kuc, Michael Florek and Joseph Florek. One sister, Mary Klinger, also preceded her in death.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the at 30 E. College St. in Canonsburg.

Departing prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church will take place at 10 a.m. with the Re. Mark Swoger officiating.

Interment will follow in the Oak Spring Cemetery in Canonsburg.

Her family requests memorials be made to the Sacred Heart Church or Washington County Humane Society.
