
Clair F. Buck, 78, of Hickory, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012 in Allegheny General Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1933 in Brentwood, son of the late Harold Ignatius and Florence Ann Ott Buck.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Teletype Repairman.

He worked as a automotive fleet manager for Bell Telephone, and was a laborer for the Pennsylvania Rail Road.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Barbara Ann Obringer Buck, of Hickory, three daughters, Sandy (Steve) Herman of Goode, Va., Becky (John) Dings of Mt. Pleasant, and Debbie (Bud) Powell of Stephenson, Va., four grandchildren, Tiffany (Chris) Vargo of North Huntington, Mary Ann (Adam) Brannon of Jeannette, and Andrew and Tyler Powell of Stephenson, Va., three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Alyssa, and Joshua Brannon, Sister, Jeanne (Donald) Mullen of Orlando, Fla.

He was preceded in death by parents, two sons, Steven C. Buck in 2011, and infant son Timothy in 1958, and infant brother, Harold Buck.
Friends will be received 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, , where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday followed by Christian Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church at 10:00 AM with Father Stan Gregorek officiating.
Burial will be private.
