Gertrude "Trudy" Slesinski, 91, of Strabane Woods, Washington, PA, formerly of Canonsburg, died Monday, May 14, 2012, in .
She was born on Jan. 18, 1921 in , a daughter of Roman and Florence Dombrowski Slesinski.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as an immigration inspector for the Department of Immigration and Naturalization Services.

She was a former member of St. Genevieve Church and a member of of Canonsburg, the Catholic Daughters of America and Orchard Lake Society.
She is survived by her brother, Alfred "Sayles" Slesinski and his wife, Florence, of Michigan; and three sisters, Theresa Phillips, Regina Dzikowski and Frances Lesko.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the , 30 East College St., Canonsburg. Departing prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church. Interment will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg.
