
Pauline C. Myers, 85, of Cecil, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 in her sister's home.
She was born Jan. 19, 1926 in Cecil Township, daughter of the late Paul and Concetta Quarture Ciaffoni.
She worked as a Medical Copywriter for Merck, and Hoffman-LaRoche Pharmaceuticals. For 45 years she was the owner of Myers Butterfly Farm in Northern New Jersey.

She was a pioneer in raising and breeding moths and butterflies, and lectured on this topic to youth and senior groups and at schools. She was a consultant to McGraw-Hill publishing and her butterflies and writings have appeared in many newsprint, magazines, and movies. Pauline was an advocate of releasing butterflies into the wild and being environmentally conscious.
Surviving are son, Calvin H. Jr. (Paula) Myers, of the Middle East, two daughters: Alyssa Myers, of New Jersey, and Susanne (Ken) Travetti of Chadds Ford, Pa.; five grandchildren; Rudy, Paul, Marilyn, Victoria, and Nicholas; three sisters, Margaret Soviero, Virginia (Joseph) C. Messa of Lafayette Hill, and Elizabeth (Robert) Cowden of Cecil Township; and her Maltese Dog, CeeCee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, C. Hart Myers, Sr. and three brothers John, Orlando, and Robert Ciaffoni, two sisters, Lorrayne C. Erikson and Dorothy Ciaffoni.
Friends will be received 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.., Friday at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA. 15321, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Craig Kephart Officiating.
Interment will follow in the Oak Springs Cemetery in Canonsburg.
