Obituary: Richard Goodell

Richard Paul Goodell, 43, of Strabane, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 22, 2012.

He was born July 13, 1968 in Midland, Michigan, a son of Nancy Kuch LaDig of East Tawas, Michigan, and the late David Goodell.

Mr. Goodell graduated from Tawas High School, Tawas, Michigan. He served with the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm. He worked as a custodian for Peters Township High School. He was an avid hunter and a member of the Canonsburg Sportsmen’s Club. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and motorcycle riding.

Surviving are his wife, Tracy Goodell, two daughters, Cortny and Josey Goodell at home, one brother, John Goodell, and two sisters, Janie Atkins and Nicole Farrier, all of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public viewing. Family and friends will have a celebration of his life from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Labor Temple, 15 S. Jefferson Ave. in Canonsburg.
