“These were the same ones I made and took to Perry Como when I visited him in Jupiter, FL, in 1996,” said Patt.

He said Como was very nice, talkative and asked what was going on in Canonsburg.

The judges had a tough decision. First place was won by Rebecca O’Donnell for her lemon blueberry pound cake that also had a few other berries and mini chocolate chips.

Second place went to Sue Hazlett, who baked chocolate peanut butter cupcakes with buttercream frosting, and third place was the pink lemonade petit fours by Lee Maurer.

The Downtown Canonsburg organization asked for all of the recipes for entries submitted in the competition so they can add them to their website or Facebook page in the future.
