It has been a long time since my owners had to move and could not take me with them. Sometimes people wonder if I am depressed, and treat me extra special when they have the time.
I go by Ronnie, but a few volunteers have upgraded my name to a more formal “Ronald.â€That's because as the biggest dog, I command a more distinguished name. Though impressive in size, I surprise everyone with how easy I am to walk.
My paws are huge and I use them wisely. Ask me to sit and I get right to it, but I'll also top it off by offering one of my big, fluffy paws to anyone that smells like they may have a treat. As a golden retriever and Chow mix, I have the head of a lion and the heart of a lamb. I know “sitâ€, “paw†and “down†just to name a few of my more dazzling qualities.
A lot of people are put off by my size, but I don't need nearly the exercise as one of those slimmer, younger, energetic breeds. No, I'm not a houseplant, and will walk as long and as far as you want to go. But when we're done, I am quite content to hang out and watch the world go by as long as I have a friend to lean on.
I would be best in a home as the only dog and not kitties.
