Sarris Candies Reopens Thursday

fans get ready: The venerable Canonsburg chocolate shop will reopen its doors at 9 a.m. Thursday.

 “We’ve got everything ready to go,” owner Bill Sarris said.

While the candy shop will reopen, the ice cream parlor remains closed for repairs from a .

The reopening coincides with the second anniversary of the death of his father—Sarris Candies founder Frank Sarris.

“Opening on that day is kind of special,” Bill Sarris said.

While some of the store’s former mainstays—like the huge chocolate castle—won’t be available for fans to admire, he said there “will be a few more things in the works that will give people an excuse to sneak back into Canonsburg.”
