Seamus

I a€™m a pretty boy with my golden red fur and angelic face. They gave me the name Seamus (a traditional Irish name pronounced shamus) but I respond equally well to honey, sweetie and other terms of endearment. As you can see, I can'€™t take a bad photo! I arrived with a flea allergy (flea dermatitis) that has left a prominent bald ring around my neck where my collar used to be but that is improving every day. I am sporting a well-fitted, blue harness for walking and have been a great sport about not chewing on it or trying to get it off.

Basically I look like a golden retriever-shepherd mix and I’m on the younger side from the nice white teeth I have. I’m slim, fit and ready to walk, jog or swim with you. The kennel has been tough on me because I am not a fan of the other dogs here and would really like to have a family of my own.

I ha€™ve been very good with the volunteers and any people I meet. I have a soft mouth and gentle way about me when taken outside away from all the noise and other dogs which bodes well for families with kids. I a€™m always learning and respond well to treats for training. I learned how to sit in no time, but most of the time I am just hanging around in a kennel waiting for my lucky day.
