Second Crash Victim Dies

A second person has died from injuries suffered in a crash on Route 19 in South Strabane Township Saturday afternoon.
Barbara Burns died at Allegheny General Hospital Saturday, a hospital spokewoman said.

She and her husband, Donald K. Burns, 61, were ejected from the vehicle he was driving north on state Route 19. Donald Burns was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday.
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said in a release that Donald K. Burns, of Maple Street, was driving north on Route 19 when "according to witnesses it appears (he) had some type of medical event occur."

Warco said Burns' wife—who was the passenger in the car—attempted to control the vehicle, which then struck one that was also traveling northbound.
