Two New Stores Open in Canonsburg
Guntown Boards and Verizon Wireless are ready for business.
Canonsburg is welcoming two new stores to its downtown and Canonsburg Plaza locations. Guntown Boards is located at 121 W. Pike St. and a new Verizon Wireless The Cellular Connection is at 113 Cavasina Dr., behind Starbucks.
Guntown Boards is a skateboard shop that sells everything to do with boards and boarding including T-shirts, backpacks and more. They are a Shorty’s authorized dealer but carry all brands of boards and equipment. Co-owner Anthony Covey has been skating for 15 years and his stepfather, George Bosco, is a local resident.
“There’s really nowhere around here that sells skateboard equipment and it’s becoming very popular so we decided to give it a shot,” said Covey. The store's grand opening was May 5.
