When I read about this story I was stunned. For a mistake like this to be made at the school level is somewhat believable seeing that some principals are hardly more than glorified babysitters.
When I heard that the police were involved AGAINST the child, I was shocked, but then again there are examples every day in this country of the police making mistakes.
Then when I heard the DA referred this to a judge I was in disbelief. Finally when I heard that a judge actually convicted a child of some trumped up wiretapping charge I couldn't believe what I was reading.
There is one good thing to come out of this horrible miscarriage of justice. Apparently you are up for election at some point in the near future. I can almost guarantee you will have an opponent and I will support that opponent regardless of their qualifications. Good luck to you! I'd think about where you'd like to have your private practice.
