Does District Judge Maureen McGraw-Desmet actually have a law degree? I'm just wondering because her interpretation of the Wiretap Act is very far from correct since the Act delineates the circumstances under which the police would need to get a wiretap order to record oral communication. I'm not certain she is competent to actually hear traffic citation violations but this particular case was above her head. I am so ashamed I want to vomit. The good news is that the people in her district can vote her out of office, the sooner the better. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised this is happening in Pennsylvania. Maybe she went to Penn State, which has been shown to harbor criminals and marginalize victims. She seems like Jerry Sandusky's kind of judge.
