Informational meeting on running for Commissioner - Scott Township

An informational session will be held on Wednesday, February 9^th at 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and also on Sunday, February 13^th at 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Scott Township Municipal Building, 301 Lindsay Road, Carnegie, PA 15106.

 For anyone who has ever considered running as an elected official, in the past, or currently, or even in the future, and wants to represent their Ward (area); an informational session is being held to inform or educate you on what is involved in running and becoming a candidate.  The process is not difficult. However, there are date deadlines that have to be met to ensure you are on the ballot for the Primary election coming up Spring 2011.  Other topics include any potential costs; as well as a general time commitment. 

 Below are the Wards and the Commissioner who currently holds the ‘seat’, as well as the years in office.  If you feel you have something to offer, want to acquire or enhance your leadership skills, or just to understand local government, please plan on attending the meeting.
