State Rep. Matt Smith, D-Allegheny, is partnering with Neighborhood Legal Services Association to offer two free Older & Wiser Seminars for area seniors, their family members and caregivers.
Both seminars will be held at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Pittsburgh, South Hills Branch. The first seminar will be held on May 10 and will focus on Dealing Effectively with a Health Care Facility. Seniors will learn how to avoid crisis-mode decisions, the difference between personal care and nursing homes, information on communicating with a health-care facility, and about using Powers of Attorney to deal with health-care facilities.
