Masuk Post Prom will be on public display Friday evening, May 16,
from 7:30 to 9:00.
“Everyone is welcome to come walk through the high school and
see Masuk transformed,” said Post Prom organizer Patti Ochsendorf.
Following tradition, the theme of Post Prom is kept secret from students
until their arrival after the prom. Every year the theme is different.

“This year’s theme is another great one. The decorations are amazing,” Ochsendorf
said.
Volunteers have been working for months and will continue to
work right up until the final moments before the event. More helpers, especially for set-up,
chaperoning and clean-up, are still needed in order to ensure students a safe
place to go after prom.

“Post Prom is a safe, fun, substance-free alternative event for
all Masuk Juniors and Seniors whether or not they attend prom,” Ochsendorf
said. “This event is made possible by the hundreds of volunteer hours put in by
parents and students, and the generous donations from Masuk parents, local
businesses and the community in general. It is our goal that students come to
Post Prom and stay for the entire event. There is great food, awesome
entertainment, fun and competitive games, and prizes all night long.”
Set up begins after school on Friday and continues until 11 p.m.
when the students start arriving after prom. Parents and freshman or sophomore students
are invited to help with the process. Clean
up begins on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Students volunteering their time will
receive community service hours for their efforts.
