• First responders earn honors for response to Dickson City hospital fire (thetimes-tribune.com) — Chinchilla Hose Company firefighters and EMS are among the agencies being honored for their lifesaving work during February’s major fire at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Dickson City, where more than 70 patients were safely evacuated. Local crews from South Abington and surrounding towns will receive the Valley Preferred Spirit of Courage award at a Nov. 5 ceremony recognizing their coordination, training, and calm under extreme pressure.
