Today's riddle: What has a tail, but no body? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Coatesville's Pression Replaces 700-Pound Cardiac Machine With a Rolling Cart (vista.today) — A Coatesville medical-device startup, Pression, has shrunk a bulky cardiac therapy system into a compact rolling cart called Wave PRO, recently cleared by the FDA. The company is expanding its West Lincoln Highway facility to handle assembly, testing, and distribution, sourcing most components within about 90 minutes of Coatesville and positioning the city as a hub for this emerging heart-care technology.
2. Coatesville Marriott Completes $2.5 Million-Plus Overhaul (mychesco.com) — Coatesville's only hotel, the Courtyard by Marriott on Manor Road, just finished a more than $2.5 million renovation, upgrading guest rooms, lobby spaces, and meeting areas. The refreshed property now offers improved business and event facilities, updated Bistro service, and energy-efficient systems, aiming to better serve travelers, local companies, and families hosting weddings or gatherings in the Coatesville area.
3. ACME, YMCA Expand Flu Shot Access Across Chester County (mychesco.com) — Coatesville residents can get a convenient flu shot when ACME's pharmacy team runs a public clinic at the Coatesville YMCA on Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon. It's part of a countywide series of nine YMCA-based clinics in September and October, with online registration available to lock in times at the most convenient location.
4. Bike the Brandywine Returns Sept. 19 With New Family Route, Starting Location (wmgk.com) — Bike the Brandywine is back on Sept. 19 with all routes now starting at Plantation Field on Apple Grove Road in Coatesville, giving local riders a nearby launch point. Cyclists can choose from three longer distances or a shorter family ride, with helmets required, rest stops and SAG support provided, and proceeds benefiting Brandywine Conservancy's land and water conservation work.
