ETHOS Treatment LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Maria Ulmer, MA, LMFT, CAADC, as Vice President of Clinical Services. She will oversee the organization's clinical operations, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and continued growth of evidence-based behavioral health services across Pennsylvania.
ETHOS Treatment LLC provides individualized, evidence-based treatment for mental health conditions and substance use disorders through a collaborative care model designed to help people achieve lasting recovery. The organization offers specialized treatment programs in welcoming outpatient settings and via telehealth, allowing patients to receive high-quality care that fits their lives.
Ulmer brings more than two decades of leadership experience in behavioral healthcare, with an extensive background in substance use disorder treatment, mental health services, clinical quality improvement, accreditation, and multi-state operations. Throughout her career, she has led clinical teams across every level of care, including detoxification, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient, medication-assisted treatment, and telehealth services.
In her new role, Ulmer will provide strategic leadership for ETHOS Treatment LLC's clinical programs, working closely with clinicians and operational leaders to strengthen patient outcomes, maintain the organization's high standards for quality and compliance, and support continued expansion. Her responsibilities include overseeing clinical supervision, utilization management, documentation standards, quality improvement initiatives, professional development, and regulatory readiness across all ETHOS Treatment LLC's locations.

Before joining ETHOS Treatment LLC, Ulmer served as Vice President of Clinical Operations for Recovery Centers of America, where she provided executive clinical leadership across a multi-state system of behavioral health programs. She also served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of RCA's Raritan Bay facility during a critical leadership transition and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, she co-founded both Thrive Behavioral Health Associates and Mission Consulting Group, advising behavioral health organizations nationwide on clinical quality systems, Joint Commission readiness, documentation integrity, and regulatory compliance.
Ulmer earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling Psychology with concentrations in Marriage and Family Therapy and Addictions from La Salle University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Temple University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in multiple states and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Pennsylvania.
