CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Newly released data from the Pennsylvania Department of Education has revealed who are the state's highest paid school superintendents.
A total of 207 superintendents around Pennsylvania make more than $200,000 per year, including seven who make more than $300,000 annually. The state's highest superintendent's salary is in Philadelphia, where Tony Watlington makes $367,710 per year.
The data below is for the 2025-26 school year, according to a "snapshot"by the state taken on Oct. 1, 2025. The list below may not reflect personnel changes which have occurred since that date.
With that caveat, here are the salaries of Western Pennsylvania's highest paid superintendents:
