Police said that it appears that a motorcyclist was riding on Route 228 and failed to maintain control as he entered the I-79 ramp.

He entered the southern side of the ramp, apparently going westbound before striking saplings and foliage before being thrown from the motorcycle.

The man sustained fatal injuries in the crash, which surveillance video later confirmed occurred at 1:50 a.m.

The motorcyclist was identified as Milo Corll, 36.

He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.
