CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Halloween is little more than a month away and the township has announced plans for the annual Great Pumpkin Festival.
The event will occur Oct. 23 from 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the township municipal center and Armstrong Great Lawn on Rochester Road. Presented by the township and Giant Eagle, the free, rain or shine event is designed for children ages 1-8 but all ages are welcome.
Costumes are encouraged.
Event highlights include a pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, games, crafts, snacks, a photo booth, and interactive booths featuring supporting sponsors Armstrong and Pediatric Dentistry Asleep, as well as several additional sponsors. A self-guided story walk around the Armstrong Great Lawn will feature "Here a Creak, There a Shriek!" by Kelly Conroy. A sensory-friendly room will also be available.
A new addition to the event, the Halloween Movie on the Lawn, will begin at 7 p.m. and feature 2019's "The Addams Family."
